The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Liberty Gas Block is a low-profile, non-adjustable gas block built for builders who want a clean, reliable gas system without the added complexity of an adjustable design. It is sized for a .750-inch barrel journal, the standard diameter found on most mil-spec and commercial AR-15 barrels, so it drops into the most common build configurations without modification.

It is machined from 4140 steel and finished in nitride, a surface treatment that hardens the metal and resists corrosion more thoroughly than a simple parkerized or phosphate coating would. That matters on a component that lives under a handguard, trapping heat and moisture with nowhere to go. Sons of Liberty also applies a manganese phosphate finish—the two processes work together to give the block durable protection inside and out.

Retention is handled by knurled set screws rather than a clamp or taper-pin arrangement. Set screws rely on friction against the barrel, which makes a properly dimpled barrel the right pairing here—the screw seats into the dimple mechanically rather than bearing on a smooth surface, giving the block a positive lock that holds its position under repeated cycling. The low-profile geometry keeps the block fully clear of free-float handguards regardless of the rail system or manufacturer, which is the whole point of the design: once the barrel journal diameter matches, fitment is not a concern.
