Description
The Steiner ATLAS is a five-emitter aiming and illumination system built for operators who need a single device to cover the full range of engagement distances without swapping units. It integrates a visible green laser, a near-infrared laser pointer, a long-range VCSEL illuminator, a mid-range NIR LED illuminator, and a short-range NIR LED illuminator—each serving a distinct role as conditions or distances change. The visible laser on this variant is Class 3R, which keeps it within the civilian-accessible output tier while remaining practical for daytime and low-light aiming.
All five emitters share a single set of windage and elevation adjusters. That means zeroing one brings all the others into alignment simultaneously, which matters operationally because switching between visible and IR modes on a multi-emitter unit that requires separate zeroing introduces error and costs time. The co-alignment is retained mechanically, so mode changes do not require re-zeroing in the field.
Three tactile buttons handle fore-on, power level selection, and illuminator selection. The buttons are positioned and sized for gloved hands, and the layout is fully ambidextrous—no dedicated left- or right-hand configuration. Power output runs across high, medium, and low settings, letting the operator balance visibility against battery draw and signature management as the situation requires. The CR123A cell provides more than three hours of runtime, and the battery is a standard format available through most military and commercial supply chains.
The body is machined from magnesium alloy, which gives the unit structural rigidity at a weight under 200 grams with battery installed. It mounts via an integrated bolt-mount designed for MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail, keeping the profile low without requiring a separate riser or adapter. The unit is rated waterproof to 20 meters for two hours and operates across a temperature range of −40°C to +65°C.
