Description

The Steiner DBAL-A3 is a dual-beam aiming laser built for shooters who work in both visible and infrared environments and need a single device to handle both without compromise. It combines a green visible laser, an IR aiming laser, and an IR illuminator in one compact, aircraft aluminum housing — meaning you can run it under ambient light with the green pointer or switch to a night vision-compatible mode when conditions demand it, without swapping hardware or changing your zero.

The green visible laser is the practical choice here over red: green sits closer to the peak sensitivity of the human eye in daylight, making the dot easier to pick up quickly. The IR illuminator functions as a flood source for your night vision device, filling in a scene when ambient IR is insufficient rather than simply projecting a targeting point. That distinction matters in low-contrast environments where passive night vision alone loses detail at distance.

The housing is machined from aircraft aluminum and rated to five meters of water resistance, so it is built to stay on a working rifle rather than a range queen. It ships with Steiner’s CORv2 Cloud Optimized Rail system and a QD HT mount, giving you a repeatable attachment point that comes off and goes back on without requiring a re-zero in normal use.
