Description

Trigger and hammer pins walking out under sustained fire is a known nuisance on AR-platform rifles, particularly with drop-in trigger packs that generate more lateral movement than mil-spec fire control groups. Strike Industries’ Anti-Walk/Anti-Rotation pin kit addresses that directly, adding a retention clip that locks both pins in place without requiring any tools for installation or removal — which matters when you’re breaking down the lower for cleaning and don’t want to chase small screws across a bench.

The pins are machined from S45C steel and finished with a QPQ nitride process. QPQ nitriding hardens the surface and provides corrosion resistance without adding meaningful material thickness, so the pins remain dimensionally consistent at the .154-inch diameter that AR-15 and AR-308 fire control groups require. The bearing surfaces are polished after finishing, which reduces friction against the trigger and hammer as they cycle — a small but real difference in the feel of a standard trigger group over time.

The clip that spans and retains both pins is the functional core of the design. One pin indexes into a rear channel in the clip to prevent rotation; the second pin requires its slot to be aligned with the clip opening before seating. Understanding that alignment before installation prevents putting unnecessary stress on the clip. The entire system goes together and comes apart by hand, which keeps maintenance straightforward and eliminates the failure point of small fasteners backing out on their own.
