Description
The Strike Industries AR Charging Handle (SI-ARCH-BK) is a direct replacement for the mil-spec charging handle on AR-15 and M4-pattern rifles, built for shooters who want a more refined feel without changing the familiar controls they already know. Where a standard charging handle is cast or made from lower-grade alloy, this one is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum — the same grade used in aircraft structural components — which gives the forging a denser grain structure and better resistance to deformation under hard use than cast alternatives.
The surface is hard anodized black, a finish that bonds into the aluminum rather than sitting on top of it. That matters practically: it resists wear at the contact points where the handle cycles against the upper receiver, and it holds up to solvent and lubricant exposure over repeated cleaning cycles. The high-polish interior bore keeps the charge smooth, reducing the gritty drag that worn or rough-finished handles develop over time.
The ergonomic latch geometry is designed around a single-side pull, so it does not add the bulk of an ambidextrous system to shooters who do not need one. At roughly two inches wide at its broadest point, it gives a more positive grip than a standard mil-spec latch, which is useful when running the rifle in gloves or under a low-mounted optic where clearance is tight. Installation is straightforward — it drops into any standard AR-15 upper receiver with no modification required.
