Description
The Strike Industries Extended Magazine Plate for the Glock 19 is a straightforward capacity upgrade for shooters who run the G19 as a carry gun, competition pistol, or range workhorse and want more rounds before the next reload. Replacing the factory baseplate with this unit adds five rounds to any standard Glock 19 OEM double-stack magazine, which means a standard 15-round magazine becomes a 20-round magazine without changing the grip or the pistol itself.
The extended body is molded from impact-resistant polymer, keeping the added weight low enough that magazine drop on release stays reliable — the extra mass actually assists gravity during a reload rather than fighting it. The longer profile also gives the support hand more surface to contact during an index, which tightens the grip on a fresh magazine before it seats. Strike Industries includes a steel locking plate and an extended follower spring in the box; both are necessary to maintain reliable feeding at the new capacity, and having them bundled means no separate parts sourcing before the extension is usable.
The design is confirmed compatible with Glock 19 OEM double-stack magazines as well as ETS Group magazines, and it fits within the USPSA 140mm race division limit for shooters who want the added rounds in competition. It also clears Magpul and JP Enterprise flared magazine wells, so it works alongside common carry and competition frame modifications. Installation requires removing the factory baseplate — a Glock magazine disassembly tool makes this straightforward — and following the included hardware to seat the new plate and locking plate correctly.
