The Strike Industries Strike Rail is built for AR-15 builders who want a free-float handguard that keeps weight down without sacrificing mounting real estate. Rather than running a full-length Picatinny top rail, Strike Industries removes the center section — the stretch of rail you almost never mount anything to — and retains only the forward and rear segments where sights and accessories actually live. That’s a deliberate material removal, not a cost cut, and it matters when you’re carrying the rifle for extended periods.

M-LOK slots at the three, six, and nine o’clock positions let you place lights, foregrips, or other hardware exactly where you need them, and the open slot geometry also helps move heat away from the barrel during sustained fire. The 1.57-inch internal diameter is sized to clear most suppressors, so the handguard doesn’t become an obstacle if you run one. Ambidextrous QD sockets are built directly into the body, eliminating the need for bolt-on sling mounts and keeping the profile clean. A built-in anti-rotation feature keeps the handguard indexed consistently against the upper receiver once installed.

Construction is 7075-T6 aluminum throughout, and the FDE finish is hardcoat anodized — durable enough for field use, though Strike Industries notes that anodized color can vary slightly between production batches. The package includes the proprietary aluminum barrel nut, a barrel nut wrench, and the necessary mounting hardware, so installation doesn’t require sourcing additional components. At 16 ounces for a 15.5-inch tube, it occupies a practical middle ground between minimalist carbine-length options and heavier full-featured rails.
