Description

The G2X LE was developed specifically at the request of Canadian law enforcement agencies, and that origin shapes every design decision. Where a general-purpose light might default to low output on the first activation, the G2X LE does the opposite: a press or full click of the click-style tailcap delivers 600 lumens immediately, in momentary or constant-on mode. That sequencing matters operationally — you reach for a light when you need it most, and the last thing you want is to cycle through a low mode first. Return to off and press again within two seconds to access the 15-lumen low output, which is well suited to map reading, searching a bag, or anything that does not require blinding white light at arm’s length.

The emitter is paired with a parabolic reflector that balances throw and surround light rather than optimizing exclusively for either. At 8,700 candela peak beam intensity, there is enough reach to identify threats at distance, while the beam’s surround light supports the peripheral awareness that close-quarters situations demand. The LED is regulated, meaning output stays consistent rather than tapering off as the batteries drain — a meaningful distinction when a set of CR123As is well into a shift.

The body is Nitrolon polymer, which keeps the light manageable in bare-hand grip even in freezing temperatures and sheds weight without sacrificing durability. The bezel is Mil-Spec hard-anodized aluminum, and O-ring and gasket sealing brings the light to IPX7 waterproof protection. Two CR123A batteries are included. At 4.4 ounces with batteries installed and 5.2 inches in length, it fits standard flashlight duty holders without modification.
