Description

The SureFire DG-11 is a grip switch assembly designed for shooters who run an X-Series or XH-Series WeaponLight on a railed Glock pistol and need to activate that light without breaking their firing grip. It fits Glock Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 pistols equipped with an accessory rail, and it is not compatible with the XH50G.

The core engineering decision here is placement. The activation pad sits at the center of the frontstrap, so a natural firing grip already positions the support-hand middle finger over it. Pressing the light on or off requires no finger movement away from the grip frame — no reaching, no shifting, no repositioning after activation. That matters in any situation where weapon handling speed and retention matter.

The switch offers both momentary and constant-on modes. Momentary keeps the light active only while pressure is applied, which preserves the shooter’s night adaptation and avoids telegraphing position when sustained illumination isn’t needed. Constant-on locks the light on for tasks that require both hands free. Switching between the two is handled by the same center-mounted pad through a push-versus-toggle action.

Because the pad integrates into the grip panel area rather than hanging off the trigger guard or dust cover, it does not add appreciable bulk to the pistol’s profile and does not interfere with holster fitment in the same way a remote pressure switch routed along the frame might. Shooters running duty or home-defense configurations who want dedicated, repeatable light activation without relocating any finger from the grip are the primary audience for this accessory.
