Description

The SureFire E2D LED Defender Ultra is a purpose-built everyday-carry tactical flashlight for anyone who wants a single tool that handles both routine low-light tasks and serious defensive situations. It is not a light that makes compromises in either direction.

The body is machined from aluminum and finished in Mil-Spec Hard Anodizing, which resists corrosion and impact damage without adding unnecessary weight. The crenellated Strike Bezel at the head and the scalloped tailcap are structural features, not cosmetic ones — they give the light a functional edge as an impact tool when photons are not enough. The knurled surface and flared ends help the body stay locked in a closed fist under stress.

The TIR lens is the reason this light works well beyond a simple flood beam. Rather than spreading light evenly in all directions, it focuses output into a tight central throw while retaining enough surround illumination to keep your peripheral awareness intact — useful when you need to identify something at distance without losing track of your immediate environment.

Two output levels are available via rapid on-off cycling of the tailcap switch. The high mode delivers enough intensity to seriously disrupt night-adapted vision at close quarters. The low mode drops to a level suitable for map reading or administrative work without destroying your own night vision or drawing attention. Runtime on high is long enough for sustained operational use; on low, the light can run for days.

Two CR123A batteries with a ten-year shelf life are included. The dual-direction stainless steel pocket clip allows bezel-up or bezel-down carry depending on your preference and draw method.
