Description
The DS07 is a waterproof switch assembly designed for SureFire’s Scout Light WeaponLights, giving the shooter two independent ways to operate the light without either method interfering with the other. The integrated DS00 push-button provides click on/off control directly at the tail of the light — useful for momentary checks or constant-on use when the rifle is staged. The plug-in ST07 remote tape switch handles the same momentary-on function from a forward position on the weapon, which keeps trigger-hand discipline intact and lets the support hand activate the light without breaking grip or shifting thumb position.
Having both switches operate independently matters in practice: if the tape switch is temporarily inaccessible or the cable is pinched during a transition, the push-button still functions on its own. That redundancy is the core design logic of the DS07. The seven-inch cable on the ST07 is sized to reach a natural tape switch position on most standard rifle and carbine handguards without excess slack that could snag on gear or hardware.
The housing is O-ring sealed, which keeps the internal switch components functional when the light is exposed to rain, submersion, or heavy condensation. A system-disable feature allows the entire assembly to be locked out — preventing the light from activating during movement or storage when an inadvertent flash would be a problem. The DS07 is made in the USA and is available in Black or Tan to match common weapon configurations.
