Description

The SureFire XC3 Sub is built specifically for railed subcompact handguns used in concealed-carry and off-duty roles, where bulk and weight work against you. Most full-size weapon lights are simply too long or too heavy to fit practical concealed-carry holsters without printing or interfering with the draw — the XC3 Sub addresses that directly with a 2.6-inch body machined from aerospace aluminum, kept light enough that it does not meaningfully shift the balance of a subcompact pistol.

Output is shaped by a precision parabolic reflector that does two things at once: it throws a tight center beam far enough for positive target identification at realistic handgun distances, while a diffused corona around that center spot preserves situational awareness close in. That combination matters in low-light scenarios where you need to see both the threat and what is around it.

The Dual Fuel design is a practical field consideration rather than a marketing point. The included SFRCR123 rechargeable battery is the primary power source, but the light also runs on a standard SF123A lithium primary cell. If the rechargeable is depleted and no charging source is available, a common battery that is stocked nearly everywhere keeps the light operational. Output and runtime differ between the two options — the rechargeable delivers higher output, the primary cell trades peak lumens for longer runtime.

Switching is ambidextrous and supports both momentary and constant-on activation from the same control, so either hand can operate it naturally without repositioning the grip. A built-in disable feature prevents accidental activation during storage or transit. The body carries a Mil-Spec hard anodized finish to MIL-A-8625 Type III, Class 2, and the unit is IPX7-rated for water resistance. SureFire includes a rail clamp mount; additional platform-specific mounts are sold separately.
