Description
The XH30 MasterFire WeaponLight is built specifically for duty and defensive carry use, intended for shooters who need a pistol-mounted light that works in direct partnership with SureFire’s MasterFire Rapid Deploy Holster. That holster integration is the core engineering decision here: the cam-slotted bezel and rear locking lugs on the battery housing are purpose-designed to mate with the holster’s retention and release mechanism, so the light activates the moment the pistol clears leather rather than requiring a separate step.
The optical assembly uses a Total Internal Reflection lens, which captures and redirects light more efficiently than a reflector-based design, producing a beam with a defined hot spot for distance work and enough spill around the edges to track movement at close quarters — without the sharp transition between the two zones that some reflector designs create. The high output mode delivers enough intensity to degrade an aggressor’s night-adapted vision at realistic defensive distances; the lower output mode extends run time and is better suited to navigation or non-confrontational use where a 1,000-lumen blast would be counterproductive.
The ambidextrous switching gives both momentary and constant-on operation from either side, so strong-hand and support-hand techniques don’t require different hardware. The body is machined from aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard anodized finish and sealed with O-rings and gaskets to IPX7 standards, meaning submersion to one meter doesn’t compromise function. The light ships with two 123A lithium batteries and accepts optional pressure-pad DG switches for shooters who want activation from the grip itself rather than the light body.
