Description

The SureFire XVL2-IRC is built for military and law enforcement professionals who need a single, compact unit to handle both visible and infrared work on a pistol or carbine. Rather than stacking separate devices on a rail, the XVL2-IRC integrates a white-light LED, an infrared LED illuminator, a green visible laser, and an IR laser into one body — keeping the weapon’s balance and profile manageable whether it rides on a Glock frame or a subgun.

The white-light output is shaped by SureFire’s MaxVision Beam technology, which blends a central hot spot with broad surround illumination. The intent is to match the eye’s natural field of view during close-quarters work, giving you enough peripheral light to read a scene without recentering on a tight spot. The 820-candela peak beam intensity puts the throw at 54 meters, which is appropriate for the pistol and subgun roles the unit is designed around rather than for long-range rifle use.

The dual-laser arrangement — green at 520 nm and IR alongside the 850 nm IR illuminator — lets a shooter zero both lasers together, which simplifies the process of confirming alignment after remounting. Switching is ambidextrous and supports both momentary and constant-on operation without requiring a grip change, and optional remote pressure switches can be added for precision activation in retention or supported positions.

The body is machined aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard-anodized finish and is sealed to IPX8 standards, meaning it is rated for submersion to 66 feet for two hours. Power comes from a single CR123A lithium battery, and the unit mounts to both Universal and Picatinny accessory rails without adapters.
