Description
The Timney Alpha Competition trigger is built for Glock Gen 5 shooters who want a meaningfully better pull without sending the pistol to a gunsmith. It fits the G17, G19, G19X, G22, G23, G26, G27, G33, G34, G35, G44, and G45, and installs using the pistol’s existing springs and components — no replacement parts to source, no timing or fitment adjustments to work through.
The factory Glock trigger serves its purpose, but its pull weight and the amount of take-up before the break are calibrated for broad use rather than for a shooter trying to run a stage quickly and accurately. Timney addresses both of those things. The trigger bar and sear receive an NP3 coating — a Teflon-nickel surface treatment that reduces friction between those two parts at the moment that matters most, producing a cleaner break with less drag through the pull. The result is a pull that feels consistent from shot to shot, which matters when you are trying to call your hits.
The three-pound pull weight sits well below a standard Glock pull, which means less force applied to the frame during the trigger stroke — useful for maintaining sight alignment under time pressure. The straight aluminum trigger body carries an anodized silver finish with an integrated safety blade, keeping the OEM-style passive safety function in place. Because all stock Glock springs remain in service, function and reliability are not dependent on any aftermarket spring specification. This trigger is designed for competition use on stock Glock pistols.
