The Calvin Elite is Timney’s top-of-the-line AR trigger, built for competitive shooters and precision-oriented shooters who have already exhausted what a mil-spec trigger can offer. The design is a single-stage drop-in unit, meaning the entire trigger group arrives pre-assembled in an aluminum housing and installs without fitting or staking — a practical advantage for anyone who wants repeatable results without sending a lower to a gunsmith.

The housing is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in Timney Elite Gold anodize. The wear components — trigger, hammer, and sear — are cut from A2 tool steel, heat-treated to Rockwell 58, and coated in Teflon-nickel to reduce friction and resist corrosion over a service life measured in tens of thousands of rounds. A carbo nitride coating further hardens the bearing surfaces where it matters most. The red curved trigger shoe is adjustable for length of pull, cast, and height, letting the shooter dial in hand geometry rather than adapting their grip to a fixed shoe position.

Sear engagement, pull weight, and overtravel are all user-adjustable. The trigger ships factory-set at 1.5 lbs — a weight that rewards a disciplined trigger press and makes split times measurably shorter in competition, but demands deliberate handling.
