The Remington 700 Calvin Elite Custom is built for precision shooters who want full control over how a trigger feels under their finger, not just how light it breaks. Where the standard Calvin Elite gives you a fixed shoe, this Custom variant ships with four interchangeable shoes — curved, flat, heeled, and knurled — each adjustable for length of pull, cast, and height. That combination means you can dial in the contact geometry to match your grip, your hold, and the demands of a bench rest session versus field shooting, rather than adapting your technique to whatever the factory supplied.

The trigger itself is a true drop-in unit, meaning it arrives as a self-contained assembly with Timney’s own trigger-blocking safety already integrated. The safety physically blocks the trigger from moving while engaged, which is a different approach from designs that only intercept the sear. Pull weight is factory set at eight ounces and is adjustable through that range, with sear engagement and overtravel independently tunable as well. Adjusting all three independently matters because changing pull weight alone rarely produces a clean, consistent break — sear engagement governs the feel of the wall, and overtravel affects what happens the instant after the shot breaks, which has a measurable effect on how quickly you re-acquire for a follow-up.

Installation requires no gunsmithing. The red shoes included as standard are also available separately in additional colors if you want to mix configurations across different rifles in the same platform.
