Description

The Timney Alpha Competition Ultimate Builder’s Kit is aimed at Glock Gen 3 and Gen 4 competitors who want a coherent, purpose-matched trigger system rather than a mix of individually sourced parts. The logic behind a kit like this is straightforward: a lighter, crisper trigger pull is only as good as the components working in concert behind it, and mismatched aftermarket parts can undermine each other’s geometry. Timney engineered the striker specifically to align with the Alpha Competition sear, so the break point and reset are governed by parts that were designed together rather than adapted from different tolerances.

The kit builds on the Alpha Competition trigger and adds a striker, striker spring, connector, safety plunger, and safety plunger spring. The striker and connector are stainless steel and heat treated for durability. All included parts receive Timney’s NP3 coating — a Teflon-nickel process that reduces friction without relying on added lubricant, which is a meaningful consideration in a competition pistol that may run through thousands of rounds between cleanings. The factory-set pull weight runs 2.5 to 3 pounds, which gives a shooter a consistent reference point from the start rather than requiring further tuning to arrive at a usable pull.

Compatible double-stack medium-frame models include the G17, G19, G22, G23, G26, G27, G33, G34, and G35. The kit uses the pistol’s existing Glock springs and frame components outside of what’s included, so the installation doesn’t require replacing the entire lower parts kit. Intended for competition use in stock Glock pistols chambered in 9mm or .40 S&W.
