Description

The TriggerTech AR-15 Duty was developed directly in response to feedback from law enforcement and military personnel who wanted the feel of TriggerTech’s established AR trigger line at a more accessible price point. That origin shapes every decision in the design: it is built for reliability under hard use, not for chasing the lightest possible pull weight or the shortest possible reset.

The single-stage configuration means there is no deliberate first-stage travel to work through — the shoe moves and the shot breaks. That break happens without creep, which TriggerTech achieves through their Zero Creep technology and TKR (Trigger Kinematic Ratio) system. What the Duty gives up compared to TriggerTech’s higher-end AR triggers is a degree of adjustability — the 3.5 lb pull weight is fixed, and overtravel and reset are slightly longer than on the competition-oriented models. For a duty or patrol context, those are reasonable trade-offs: a non-adjustable trigger cannot shift out of spec in the field, and a more positive reset is easier to register under stress or with gloves.

Key internal components are machined from 440C stainless steel, a grade chosen for its hardness and corrosion resistance. The housing is EZAC diecast. External stainless parts carry a PVD Black finish — Physical Vapour Deposition, a hard coating that resists wear and maintains the black appearance without adding meaningful thickness. The trigger installs using standard mil-spec 0.154-inch trigger pins, which are not included. It is covered by TriggerTech’s lifetime warranty.
