Description

The TriggerTech AR-15 Single Stage Competitive Flat trigger is designed for shooters who need a repeatable, zero-ambiguity break in competitive or high-tempo shooting environments — 3-gun, PRS, precision rifle, or any application where a factory trigger’s inconsistency is a liability. This is a fixed-weight unit, which matters in competition: there is no adjustment to drift and no need to recheck pull weight between stages or matches.

What separates TriggerTech’s approach from a conventional sear design is Frictionless Release Technology. A standard AR trigger transfers force between sear surfaces through sliding friction, which introduces creep — that dragging sensation before the break. TriggerTech replaces that sliding contact with a roller-bearing pivot, so the sear releases without the mush. The result is a true zero-creep break that gives the shooter a clear, unambiguous signal for exactly when the shot fires, which directly supports shot-to-shot consistency.

Overtravel is kept under 0.015 inches and reset comes in under 0.030 inches. Short overtravel reduces the rearward movement of the trigger after the break, limiting any muzzle disturbance introduced at the moment of firing. The short reset means the trigger only needs to travel a brief distance forward before it is ready to fire again, which matters for fast follow-up shots without breaking a firing grip. Reset feel is described by TriggerTech as tactile mid-force — present enough to register under stress, without requiring a deliberate reset stroke.

The housing is machined from 7075 aluminum with key internal components in 440C stainless steel. External stainless parts receive a PVD Black coating — Physical Vapour Deposition, a hard surface treatment that provides corrosion resistance and a clean, uniform black finish. The trigger installs into any mil-spec AR-15 lower using standard 0.154-inch trigger pins, which are not included.
