The TriggerTech AR-9 Two-Stage Duty trigger is built for pistol-caliber carbine platforms where reliable ignition under hard use matters more than chasing the lightest possible pull. It fits AR-9 lowers using standard mil-spec 0.154-inch trigger pins, making it a straightforward drop-in for the most common PCC builds without any additional fitting work.

The two-stage design separates the trigger’s travel into a deliberate first stage and a distinct wall before the break. That staging gives the shooter a reference point under stress without introducing the ambiguity of a heavy single-stage or the hair-trigger risk of a light one — a sensible trade-off for close-quarters work, duty use, or competitive shooting where the round count and pace of fire are both high. The pull weight is fixed at 3.5 pounds; this is a Duty-series trigger, so there is no adjustment range, and that is intentional. A non-adjustable trigger cannot drift out of spec in the field.

TriggerTech’s Zero Creep technology eliminates measurable takeup in the second stage, so the wall is a true wall rather than a gradual stacking of resistance. The FLTWR and TKR systems work together to manage the hammer spring’s behavior through the pull cycle, contributing to consistent primer ignition across a full magazine. Overtravel after the break is controlled, and reset is short enough for fast follow-up shots. The housing is EZAC die-cast, internal components are 440C stainless steel, and the exterior finish is PVD Black — a Physical Vapor Deposition coating that bonds directly to the stainless surface for durability rather than simply painting over it. The curved shoe follows a traditional geometry that will feel immediately familiar to any shooter moving up from a standard mil-spec trigger.
