Description

The TriggerTech AR-9 Two-Stage Duty trigger is built for pistol caliber carbine platforms where reliability under hard use matters more than adjustability. It is aimed at law enforcement, military, and serious competition shooters running AR-9 pattern rifles in close-quarters or high-round-count environments. Because the Duty series fixes the pull weight at 3.5 pounds rather than offering an adjustment range, there are fewer variables to drift out of spec in the field and no user error that can inadvertently produce a dangerously light break.

The two-stage architecture separates take-up from the actual break. The first stage lets the shooter feel the wall before committing to the shot, which helps manage accuracy under physical stress without requiring a slower, deliberate press. Zero Creep technology eliminates movement in the second stage, so once the wall is reached the break is immediate rather than spongy. TKR technology addresses the mechanical relationship between the trigger and the hammer to maintain consistent hammer strike force, which matters for reliable primer ignition in a semi-auto platform. FLTR technology — Frictionless Release Technology — removes sliding contact from the sear interface, replacing it with a rotating engagement that does not wear the same way conventional sear surfaces do over time.

The reset is tactile at mid-force, giving a clear reference point for follow-up shots without being so light it is easy to outrun. Housing is EZAC diecast with 440C stainless steel key components finished in PVD Black, a Physical Vapour Deposition coating that provides a durable, even color without adding meaningful thickness to the mating surfaces. The trigger fits standard 0.154-inch mil-spec AR-9 trigger pins and is covered by TriggerTech’s lifetime warranty.
