The TriggerTech Primary is a drop-in replacement trigger for the Remington 700 platform, suited to precision shooters, competitors, and hunters who want a more consistent break than the factory unit provides without committing to a custom-shop build. It installs without gunsmithing and fits standard Remington 700 footprint actions, including compatible clones.

The mechanism at the center of this trigger is TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology, which replaces the sliding sear contact found in conventional designs with a rolling interface. The practical result is a break with no measurable creep — the trigger moves and then fires, without the staged grit or pre-travel that makes it difficult to predict exactly when the shot will go. Overtravel is held to less than 0.015 inches, which keeps rearward movement after the break short enough that it does not disturb the rifle during the firing cycle.

Pull weight adjusts between 1.5 and 4.0 pounds through an externally accessible set screw, so it can be dialed in without removing the trigger from the action. The straight flat bow geometry places the finger consistently across shots, which matters for repeatable trigger pressure especially at distance or when wearing gloves. The housing is machined from 7075 aluminum and key internal components are 440C stainless steel. External stainless parts carry a Black PVD finish — a hard, deposited coating that resists corrosion and wear without adding meaningful thickness. A removable safety is included; the trigger ships without a bolt release.
