Description

The Unity Tactical FAST Micro-S Mount is built for shooters who run night vision, over-ear hearing protection, or ballistic helmets and need a red dot that meets their eye naturally rather than forcing them to crane down onto the gun. The 2.26-inch optical centerline height solves a real ergonomic problem: when a shooter’s head is pushed forward by a helmet or NVG counterweight, a standard-height mount demands an uncomfortable neck angle to find the sight picture. At 2.26 inches, the optic sits where the eye already is, keeping the neck straight and reducing fatigue during extended use.

The mount is sized specifically for the taller Aimpoint micro footprint — the CompM5s, CompM5b, and Duty RDS — rather than the standard micro footprint. That distinction matters at the purchase stage, since the two footprints are not interchangeable. Unity machines the body from 7075-T6 aluminum and finishes it in Type III hardcoat anodize, the same specification used in military and hard-use applications for abrasion and corrosion resistance.

Attachment is handled by Unity’s Rail Grabber clamp, which secures to a Picatinny rail without tools. For shooters who need to transition the optic between platforms, the mount is also compatible with the FAST QD Lever and the FAST QD Lever by ADM, both sold separately, giving a repeatable zero-return quick-detach option without modifying the base mount itself. The pass-through aperture in the body also doubles as a rear iron sight channel, so a standard 1.42-inch rear sight remains usable as a backup without adding a separate BUIS — a practical weight and rail-space trade-off for anyone running a minimalist setup.
