Description
The Arisaka Defense Offset Optic Plate 2 is a replacement mounting plate designed for shooters who run the Arisaka Defense Offset Optic Mount and want to use a Trijicon RMR, SRO, or compatible Holosun footprint optic — specifically the 407C, 507C, 508T, or the Swampfox Kingslayer, Liberty, and Justice. The plate exists because the offset mount system separates the base from the optic interface, letting you swap footprints without replacing the entire mount. If you transition between optics or carry a spare plate as a field-replaceable component, that modularity has real practical value.
The plate is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type III hardcoat anodize. Type III hardcoat is a thicker, denser anodize layer than standard Type II, which means it handles contact wear and repeated removal better over time. Because the plate sits at the optic interface — where the red dot’s mounting screws bear directly — material hardness and dimensional consistency matter more here than on a passive rail accessory.
Weight is minimal by design. An offset mount already adds some mass and standoff distance to the host firearm; keeping the plate itself light keeps that penalty from compounding. For competition shooters running an offset red dot alongside a magnified primary optic, or for anyone using a backup dot in a 45-degree offset role, this plate gives a secure, repeatable seating surface without unnecessary bulk.
