Description
The Unity Tactical SPARK is a personal identification and marking light built for team members who need to be seen by their own people without being seen by anyone else. Operating in infrared, it is invisible to the naked eye and readable only through night-vision devices, making it a practical tool for low-light team recognition in training and field environments.
The light was originally developed for industrial safety applications, which shaped its design priorities: it had to be small enough to forget it was there, simple enough to operate under stress, and durable enough to survive rough handling. The body combines a rigid polymer frame with flexible silicone encapsulation, giving it some resistance to the incidental impacts and flexing that come with being mounted on a helmet or plate carrier in active use. A hook-and-loop backer handles attachment, so placement can be adjusted without tools as kit configurations change.
Operation runs through a single center-click push button that steps through four modes — Constant High, Constant Low, Blink, and Off — giving the user control over output and signature as conditions change. A 200-plus-hour runtime means a fresh battery lasts through an extended rotation without requiring a mid-mission swap, which matters more than raw brightness for a marker light that runs continuously in the background rather than on demand.
The SPARK fits naturally on helmets, chest rigs, plate carriers, or any other surface that accepts hook-and-loop. Its small footprint keeps it from snagging or interfering with other mounted equipment.
