Description

The Wilson Combat Rapid Thread Mount is designed as a dedicated attachment point for the Wilson Combat Whisper suppressor on 9mm-chambered firearms. Rather than functioning solely as a muzzle device, it serves a dual purpose: it acts as the suppressor’s initial blast baffle, absorbing the first and most violent pulse of gas before it reaches the suppressor’s internal baffles. That positioning reduces wear on the suppressor body over time, which matters if you shoot at volume.

The mount is machined from steel and finished in Black Melonite, the same nitriding process Wilson Combat applies across its line. Melonite hardens the surface and provides corrosion resistance without adding dimensional bulk — relevant here because the mount threads directly onto the host barrel and needs to seat consistently against the suppressor each time. The 5/8×24 thread pattern suits the threaded barrels commonly found on 9mm carbines and longer-barreled pistols. A shim set and O-ring are included, which allows you to time the mount correctly so the ports or indexing features align with the suppressor and the gas ports face the right direction. Without proper timing, a muzzle device of this type can misalign the suppressor at the bore axis, so the shim kit is a functional inclusion rather than an accessory.

The mount also functions independently as a muzzle brake, porting gas to reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil. Barrel diameter compatibility runs from 0.740 to 0.775 inches, measured half an inch back from the threads, so confirm your barrel’s diameter at that point before ordering.
