Description

The Wilson Combat Ultralight Match Trigger is built for 1911 shooters who want a finely tuned, competition-ready trigger without unnecessary weight. Wilson Combat uses it in their own Custom Shop builds, which tells you something about where it sits in their lineup.

The trigger pad is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, which is what keeps the weight down to just over 90 grains — light enough to matter in a precision trigger job without compromising the feel of the pull. The bow is hardened stainless steel, polished to reduce the friction it sees against the frame as it travels, which contributes to a cleaner, more consistent pull cycle. The three-hole skeletonized design is not just aesthetic: removing material from the pad reduces trigger bounce, a phenomenon that matters most when running very light pull weights where any uncontrolled movement can disturb a fine trigger job or create unsafe conditions with minimal sear engagement.

The adjustable over-travel screw lets a pistolsmith dial in exactly how far the trigger travels after the sear breaks, which tightens up the reset and keeps the shot-to-shot experience predictable. The matte silver finish on the pad is Wilson Combat’s own specification for this variant. Minor fitting should be expected — this is not a drop-in part, and that is by design. A trigger that fits the frame precisely performs better than one with excess clearance. The package includes the trigger, a 6-32 x 5/16-inch set screw, and a 1/16-inch Allen wrench. Compatible with single-stack 1911 pistols.
