Description
The Mini Phantom Q.D. Flash Hider is built for shooters running YHM’s fast-attach suppressor system who want to keep overall muzzle length as short as possible without sacrificing the mechanical foundation the quick-detach interface depends on. The 5/8″-24 thread pitch matches the standard used on .308 and 7.62 NATO barrels, so this fits directly onto most rifles chambered for those cartridges without an adapter.
Where a conventional flash hider is a dead-end fitting, this one doubles as the lockup point for YHM’s Phantom Q.D. suppressor family. The ratcheting quick-detach mount built into compatible YHM cans engages directly with this device, meaning a suppressor goes on and comes off without tools and without losing zero on the host rifle. Running the rifle unsuppressed, it functions as a standard flash hider — the 5/8″-24 thread pattern also accepts a standard thread protector if you prefer that arrangement between range sessions.
YHM machines the body from 4140 steel and finishes it in Black Oxide, a choice that keeps weight down relative to stainless while providing corrosion resistance adequate for the position the device occupies — forward of the gas system, where heat and carbon accumulate. At 2.125 inches long, it adds meaningfully less length to the muzzle than a full-size Phantom Q.D. Flash Hider, which matters when barrel length is already optimized for a particular role. Compatible suppressors include the Turbo T2, Resonator, Resonator R2, Resonator K, Nitro N20, and Wraith 9 XL. YHM specifies a torque of 35 ft-lbs at installation. Manufactured in the USA.
