The Phantom flash hider from Yankee Hill Machine is a straightforward, no-frills muzzle device built for shooters who want meaningful flash reduction without added mechanical complexity. Its five-port arrangement vents combustion gases upward and to the sides, and the deliberate absence of a downward-facing port keeps ground disturbance to a minimum when firing from the prone position — a practical consideration any time dust or loose debris is a concern.

This is the smooth-end variant. Where the aggressive-cut version has a toothed face intended for use as an improvised breaching tool, the smooth end offers a cleaner profile for those who have no use for that capability and prefer a less conspicuous look. The distinction is cosmetic and functional, not a matter of flash-reduction performance — both share the same five-port geometry and the same 4140 steel construction finished in Black Oxide.

Yankee Hill Machine rates the design at up to 99% flash reduction, and the geometry is the same core platform the company has built around for decades. At 1.75 inches added to barrel length and just over two ounces, the weight and length penalty is modest enough that it suits most standard AR-platform builds without meaningfully affecting balance.
