Description

The YHM sRx Long Muzzle Brake is built for shooters who want a clean, low-profile suppressor mounting solution on a .308 or 7.62 NATO host without the headaches that come with conventional quick-detach systems. Where most QD mounts rely on moving parts, levers, or ratcheting mechanisms that add bulk and introduce wear points, the sRx design eliminates all of that. There are no moving parts involved in locking the suppressor in place.

The brake threads onto your barrel via a standard 5/8″-24 thread pattern, then serves as the interface for the YHM sRx Adapter (YHM-4400), which is sold separately and required to complete the system. That adapter attaches to the industry-standard 1-3⁄8″-24 hub threads found on compatible YHM suppressors. The key mechanical feature is an internal forward taper seated ahead of the threads: when the suppressor mounts, this taper creates a gas seal before the threads are ever engaged, keeping propellant gases and carbon fouling off the thread engagement surfaces. Over time that matters — threads that stay clean maintain consistent torque and don’t seize.

Because the sRx system uses a taper for indexing rather than a shim stack or timing nut, there is no shimming or timing required to orient the brake on the barrel. The brake is machined from 4140 steel with a Black Phosphate finish and torques to between 20 and 30 ft-lbs. Overall device length is 2.30 inches with a 0.9375-inch diameter, keeping the profile tight to the bore line. The result is a mount that adds minimal length and mass to a suppressed rifle without sacrificing the mechanical reliability that rigorous use demands.
