Description
The YHM sRx Q.D. Adapter is the mounting interface at the center of Yankee Hill Machine’s sRx system, designed for shooters who want a clean, compact suppressor setup without the bulk or complexity of conventional quick-detach designs. It fits any suppressor or muzzle device running the industry-standard 1-3/8″x24 HUB thread pattern, so it isn’t limited to YHM cans — though it must be paired with an sRx-compatible muzzle device already installed on the host barrel.
Where many quick-detach systems rely on spring-loaded latches or ratcheting mechanisms, the sRx adapter uses a large internal taper seated ahead of the threads. When the suppressor engages, that taper draws everything into consistent, repeatable alignment and creates a gas seal before the threads even bear load. The practical result is that combustion gases and carbon fouling are kept off the threads themselves, which keeps the interface clean and prevents the galling and seizure that can develop on heavily used threaded suppressors over time.
Because the taper handles both alignment and retention, there’s nothing to time or shim to the barrel — the adapter indexes on the taper geometry rather than on a clocked position, which simplifies host swaps considerably. The whole unit is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and finished in Black Oxide, giving it corrosion resistance appropriate for the heat and moisture a suppressor mount sees in regular use. At 1.88 oz., it adds very little to the overall weight of the host-suppressor combination, and the 0.600″ it contributes to overall length is about as short as a hub-pattern quick-detach adapter gets. Covered by YHM’s lifetime manufacturer’s warranty and made in the USA.
