Description

The YHM sRx Short Muzzle Brake is built for shooters who run a suppressor and want a mounting solution that stays out of the way. Its purpose is twofold: it functions as a standalone brake and serves as the barrel-end interface for the YHM sRx suppressor mounting system, which means the device you leave on the muzzle between range sessions is doing real work rather than just holding a spot.

The sRx mounting system uses an internal taper ahead of the threads to create consistent, repeatable registration every time the suppressor is attached. That taper does two things — it indexes the suppressor to the same position on every mount, so there is no need to shim or time the device to the barrel, and it seals against carbon migration onto the hub threads, keeping the interface clean and the suppressor easy to remove even after sustained fire. The mating hub on the suppressor side attaches to the industry-standard 1-3/8 x 24 thread pattern used across the sRx adapter line.

The body is machined from 4140 steel and finished in Black Oxide, which keeps weight low enough that the brake adds little meaningful mass to the muzzle-end of the build. The 1/2-28 thread pattern makes this variant the natural fit for most 5.56 and .22-caliber rimfire barrels. At under two inches of added barrel length, the short profile is well suited to builds where overall length is a consideration. No moving parts means nothing to wear, adjust, or lose in the field.
