Description

The YHM sRx Mini Muzzle Brake is the starting point for building out the sRx suppressor mounting system on a .308 or 7.62 NATO rifle. Its job is twofold: it functions as a standalone brake, and it serves as the permanent barrel-side half of a quick-detach interface designed around the industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB thread pattern. When you thread on the sRx Adapter (YHM-4400, sold separately), the brake’s internal taper does the real work — it draws the suppressor into a consistent, repeatable seat in front of the threads rather than relying on them to carry the load. That geometry is why no shimming or timing is required; the taper self-aligns every time, and it simultaneously seals the thread area so combustion gases and carbon have no path to accumulate there.

The 5/8″-24 thread pitch is the standard for .308-bore barrels, so this brake drops straight onto most threaded .308 and 7.62 NATO hosts without an adapter. Machined from 4140 steel with a Black Phosphate finish, it is built to handle the heat and pressure of rifle-caliber fire. At 1.40 ounces and 1.100 inches long, it adds little to overall barrel length or system weight — relevant when you are already accounting for the suppressor that follows. There are no moving parts in the brake itself, which keeps the mechanism straightforward and eliminates the wear points that come with spring-loaded or collet-style mounts. The sRx system is also compatible with YHM’s Fat Cat and Cat’s Ass suppressors when used with the sRx Adapter.
