Description
The Yankee Hill Machine Sidewinder Direct Thread Adapter gives suppressor owners a straightforward way to run their Sidewinder, Cobra M2, or Cobra on a host with a 1/2×36 threaded muzzle — the pitch most commonly found on .22-caliber and 9mm carbine barrels. Rather than relying on the suppressor’s integrated mounting system, this adapter converts the can to direct thread attachment, which keeps the overall stack simpler and removes one potential point of rotational play between the host and the suppressor.
The practical case for a direct thread setup is repeatability. Each time the suppressor is installed and torqued to the same point of resistance, it returns to the same position relative to the bore — relevant for any shooter who removes the can between range sessions and wants consistent point-of-impact. The adapter is finished in black and is made specifically to interface with YHM’s own mounting geometry, so fitment is not a matter of trial and error the way generic adapters can be.
This is a purpose-specific part, not a universal solution. It works with the suppressor models named above and the 1/2×36 thread pattern — verify both before ordering. If your host barrel carries a different thread pitch, or your suppressor is a different model in the YHM lineup, a different adapter will be required. For shooters running compatible hardware, it is a clean, low-complication way to mount a quality can without a mount system in the middle.
