Description

The Yankee Hill Machine Fat Cat is built for shooters who need a capable 5.56 suppressor on a short or maneuverable host without giving up the internal volume that shapes tone. Where many compact suppressors achieve their reduced length by simply shrinking everything, the Fat Cat’s 1.94-inch diameter maintains enough internal space to produce a deeper, more rounded report rather than the sharper, higher-pitched sound common to narrower cans. That extra girth is the trade-off you accept for the shorter overall package.

The suppressor ships with a Mini sRx adapter, which brings total length to 4.5 inches — about a full inch shorter than YHM’s own Turbo K when configured comparably. Without the adapter, the body alone measures 4.25 inches, giving you flexibility depending on your mounting setup. The rear threads are 1.375×24 HUB, a standard that accommodates a wide range of compatible mounts and adapters beyond the included piece.

Construction centers on a 17-4 stainless steel body paired with an Inconel blast baffle at the chamber end. Inconel is chosen for that position specifically because it handles the initial pressure spike and heat of the propellant gas better than steel alone, which matters when the can is run on a full-auto host or during extended strings of fire. The updated baffle geometry is designed to reduce backpressure returning through the bolt carrier, which helps keep the action running cleaner over a long range session. The suppressor carries a full-auto rating, so sustained fire on compatible hosts is within its design envelope. A Cerakote finish covers the exterior. The package includes two suppressor tools and an owner’s manual.
