Description
The SOCOM762-RC2 is SureFire’s second-generation Fast-Attach suppressor built for 7.62mm rifles, including high-intensity magnum chamberings like .300 Winchester Magnum. It is the kind of tool suited to precision rifle shooters, designated marksmen, and anyone who takes both accuracy and host-weapon reliability seriously under sustained use.
The suppressor is constructed from high-temperature Inconel alloys and stainless steel, CNC laser-welded throughout. Inconel’s resistance to heat and oxidation matters here because full-auto or rapid semi-auto fire generates temperatures that degrade lesser materials over time — the alloy selection is a durability decision, not a cosmetic one. The internal baffling is designed around reducing back pressure, which in practice lowers cyclic rate and limits how much hot gas returns toward the shooter’s face and action. That combination helps preserve the host weapon’s reliability over extended strings of fire.
SureFire guarantees 100% repeatable sub-MOA point-of-impact shift with every SOCOM suppressor they produce. That figure matters because a suppressor that changes where the rifle hits — or changes it inconsistently — undermines precision work. A predictable, repeatable shift is something a shooter can zero for and trust.
The patented Fast-Attach mounting system requires no tools and uses multiple bearing surfaces to seat the suppressor tightly against the adapter, keeping the can concentric with the bore. A sloppy mount is a primary cause of accuracy loss in suppressed setups; the multi-surface contact design addresses that directly. The finish combines DLC and Cerakote, with this variant in Black. Sound data from SureFire’s own testing shows 136 dB measured at the shooter’s ear from a 16-inch barrel, dropping to 134 dB from a 25-inch barrel — both with M118LR ammunition.
