The Nocpix SLIM L25 is built for hunters who want a single thermal optic that transitions cleanly between handheld scanning and weapon-mounted use without giving up either function. That dual role is the design’s core premise: rather than accepting a compromise mount bolted on as an afterthought, the SLIM L25 ships with a proprietary quick-detach dual-throw lever mount that uses a magnetic alignment aid to guide the optic back to the same position every time, holding return-to-zero to within one MOA. A hunter can pull the optic to glass a field edge, then remount it on the rifle without rezeroing — a practical advantage in a stand or on a spot-and-stalk where time matters.

The 384×288 thermal sensor with a 12 µm pixel pitch and an NETD rating at or below 18 mK gives the sensor enough thermal resolution to distinguish an animal’s body heat from ambient background at useful distances. The 25 mm F/1.0 Germanium objective lens and 2.5× native optical magnification are sized for close-to-mid-range work — hog hunting in thick cover or coyote calling where target distances are measured in hundreds of yards rather than half a mile. The 4× digital zoom extends that reach when needed, though any digital zoom trades pixel density for apparent size. A 1024×768 AMOLED display renders that sensor data with enough screen resolution that the image is not the limiting factor in what you can resolve. Eight reticle options, including one user-configurable DIY reticle, let the shooter match the crosshair style to the application. The magnesium alloy body keeps weight down without sacrificing durability, and the IP67 rating means rain and field dust are not concerns. Power comes from a pair of flat-top IRB-2 18650 cells that are field-swappable, and the optic also charges via a magnetic cable so topping off between hunts is straightforward.
