The 384×288 sensor at 12 µm pixel pitch gives the detector more thermal resolution than coarser 17 µm sensors at the same array size, which translates directly into finer detail at the edge of detection range. Paired with a fast F/1.0 germanium objective, the lens gathers as much thermal energy as the format allows, keeping image quality intact in low-contrast conditions like mild weather or dense vegetation where temperature differentials narrow. The 1024×768 AMOLED display upscales that sensor output cleanly, so the image you see through the eyepiece is sharp rather than blocky.

Base magnification of 3.5× sits in a practical range for most timber and field hunting — enough to identify a coyote clearly, not so much that target acquisition slows down. Digital zoom extends that to 14× when you need to confirm what you are looking at before committing to a shot. The onboard laser rangefinder removes the guesswork from holdover decisions, feeding real distance data rather than estimated range. The ballistic calculator then converts that distance into a firing solution, which is particularly useful when you are hunting multiple species across a single outing with different zero distances.

The 30mm tube mounts in standard rings, so there is no need for proprietary hardware. Power comes from a combination of an internal rechargeable battery and a removable 18650 cell, letting you swap the external battery in the field without powering down or carrying a second complete unit.
