The GBRS Group Lerna Mount is built around a specific problem: conventional optic heights work against shooters running body armor, communications headsets, gas masks, or night vision equipment. When gear piles up around the head and neck, a standard-height red dot forces an awkward, hunched posture to achieve a cheek weld. The Lerna addresses this by raising the optic centerline to 2.91 inches, which allows the shooter to maintain a more upright, vertical spine. That posture keeps body armor plates facing the threat rather than angling away, and it supports faster target acquisition when the head is already positioned higher due to bulky headgear.

This variant is fitted specifically to the EOTech XPS footprint, so the mounting interface is engineered for that sight’s dimensions rather than adapted from a generic platform. The finish is Black, consistent with the XPS’s own housing and suited to low-visibility use. The elevated sight line also shortens the time needed to shift between monitoring the immediate environment and acquiring a sight picture, a meaningful advantage in any scenario where situational awareness matters as much as marksmanship.
