Description

The GBRS Group FTC Magnifier Mount is built around a specific problem with conventional flip-to-side designs: when a magnifier swings to the three or nine o’clock position, it extends beyond the receiver’s footprint and adds width that interferes with retention and movement. Unity Tactical’s Flip-to-Center mechanism solves this by rotating the magnifier downward when not in use, tucking it below the sight plane and inside the profile of the rifle rather than out to the side. Getting there requires deliberate pressure against a force-to-overcome detent, which means the magnifier won’t shift accidentally under recoil or during a reload, but transitions quickly when you need them.

The 2.91-inch optic centerline is not an arbitrary figure. It is matched to GBRS Group’s Hydra Mounting System, so shooters running that platform get consistent eye relief and cheekweld without shimming or adapter work. If your setup already uses the Hydra system, this mount slots in without compromise.

The body is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type III hardcoat anodize in Flat Dark Earth. That anodize is a hard, abrasion-resistant surface treatment that holds up to regular field handling better than standard Type II, and the FDE finish is GBRS Group’s own color designation rather than a generic coating. Attachment to the rail uses a quick-detach lever, allowing the mount to come off and go back on without tools while maintaining repeatable return to zero.
