Description

The Walker’s Razor electronic earmuff is built for shooters who need reliable hearing protection at the range without sacrificing situational awareness between strings of fire. The core of the design is a high-performance digital circuit that processes incoming sound quickly enough to distinguish ambient noise from a muzzle blast and suppress the latter before it reaches damaging levels, while still letting normal conversation and range commands through clearly. That digital processing chain is meaningfully different from the analog circuits found in lower-cost passive amplification muffs: analog designs compress sound continuously, which can blur voices and create a flat, artificial quality, whereas the digital circuit here renders ambient audio with greater clarity and natural character.

A pair of omnidirectional microphones pick up sound from multiple directions rather than funneling audio from a single axis, so you are not turning your head to catch what the person beside you is saying. The recessed volume control knobs sit flush with the cup housing, which keeps them from snagging on clothing or being bumped out of position when the muffs are pulled on and off during a shooting session. An audio input jack lets you connect a communication device or phone without removing the muffs. The polymer construction keeps weight manageable during extended wear.
