Description
The American Defense Manufacturing AD-B2-L is a cantilever Quick Detach mount built specifically for shooters who need to push their optic rearward to solve eye relief problems with compact prisms and mini ACOGs. The standard B2 footprint is shared with the rest of the B2 family, but the overall length has been shortened to suit scopes like the Primary Arms SLx Micro Prism series, where an unmodified cantilever would leave the optic sitting too far forward for a comfortable cheek weld.
The 0.75-inch reverse cantilever is the functional core of this mount. By moving the scope rearward relative to the ring centerline rather than forward, it recovers eye relief that compact fixed-power optics frequently sacrifice when paired with a standard mount on a flat-top AR. The Low height profile keeps the optical centerline at 1.21 inches above the bore, suited to cheek-weld-forward shooting styles where absolute co-witness is not a requirement. Shooters who need BUIS clearance should be aware that this profile does not clear most standard backup iron sights; only taller variants in the B2 line achieve that clearance.
The mount is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in Type 3 Mil-Spec hard coat anodize, which produces a harder surface than standard anodizing and resists wear at contact points that see regular reinstallation. ADM’s patented QD Auto Lock Lever can be configured to lock toward either the front or rear of the rifle and can be adjusted by finger or flat blade screwdriver without proprietary tools. The lever system is designed to fully engage the Picatinny rail before locking, and the clamping geometry is adjustable to accommodate rail systems that fall slightly outside published tolerances. Manufactured in the USA and backed by ADM’s lifetime warranty.
