Description

The American Defense Mfg. AD-RMR QD Mount is built for shooters who run Trijicon RMR-footprint optics on AR pistols or other compact platforms where weight is a real concern. The lightweight designation reflects a genuine design difference: this mount sheds roughly 30% of the mass found in the standard ADM RMR mount, which matters when every ounce on a short-barreled or pistol-format build affects handling and balance over a long range session.

The 1.93-inch optic height is the key reason to choose this particular variant over the co-witness or lower-third versions. That elevated sightline supports a more upright, heads-up shooting posture, and it creates practical clearance for use with night vision devices, gas masks, or similar equipment that shifts your eye position away from the stock. It is not a height for traditional iron-sight co-witness; if that is your goal, ADM offers lower versions of the same mount.

Attachment is handled by ADM’s patented QD Auto Lock Lever, which clamps to Picatinny rails without tools. The lever tension is user-adjustable, and the design is tolerant of both in-spec and out-of-spec rail dimensions — useful on platforms where rail quality varies. The body is precision-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a Type III hard coat anodize, which provides a durable, matte surface that resists wear under field conditions. The mount also accepts Trijicon SRO and other optics sharing the RMR footprint. It is made in the USA.
