Description
The American Defense Mfg Lightweight TR mount is built for shooters running compact red dots on AR pistols or other short, handy platforms where a bulky mount undermines the point of the whole setup. It accepts the EoTech EFLX, Leupold Delta Point and Delta Point Pro, and Vortex Defender and Defender ST — optics that share a common footprint but are often underserved by mounting options that fit the rifle-length market better than the pistol one.
The mount is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a Mil-Spec Type III hardcoat anodize, which gives the aluminum surface a hard, wear-resistant shell without the weight penalty of steel construction. American Defense advertises this platform as approximately 30 percent lighter than their standard ADM mounts, which is a meaningful reduction when the whole argument for a compact optic is keeping the build light. The one-piece construction avoids the stacking tolerances that come with multi-part ring-and-base systems.
The height is set for absolute co-witness, meaning the red dot sits on the same optical plane as standard-height iron sights. That alignment lets you transition to irons without adjusting your cheek weld or eye position, which matters most in a fast, close-range context. The patented QD Auto Lock Lever system secures to Picatinny rails — including rails that are out of spec — without needing any tools. The lever can be configured to lock from the front or rear depending on how your platform is set up, and adjustment requires nothing more than a finger or a flat-blade screwdriver.
