Description

The American Defense AD-TR-OFFSET-45-STD is built for shooters who run a magnified optic as their primary and need a reliable secondary red dot they can access without breaking cheek weld. Tilting the rifle 45 degrees puts a compact sight like the EoTech EFLX or a Leupold Delta Point Pro straight into the sight picture, letting you transition to close targets quickly rather than swapping zero or shouldering a second rifle. The mount is designed to clear the turrets of most scopes, so the offset angle serves a practical geometry problem, not just an aesthetic one.

American Defense machines the body from 6061-T6 aluminum and finishes it in a Type III hardcoat anodize, which is the same mil-spec standard used on service weapons — harder and more abrasion-resistant than standard anodizing. The QD lever uses American Defense’s patented Auto Lock system, which self-adjusts to grip both in-spec and out-of-spec Picatinny rails without tools. That matters on rails that have seen hard use or come from manufacturers whose tolerances run loose. If you need to zero your secondary optic on a particular side of the receiver, the mount can be configured for either left- or right-hand offset, so it works regardless of how your rifle is set up. Lever tension can be set with a finger or a flat-blade screwdriver, keeping the setup tool-light in the field.
