Description

The UIC10A is American Defense Mfg.’s AR-10 platform built around precision at distance. It suits the shooter who wants a rifle capable of genuine long-range work without the added bulk of a full rifle-length build — someone running a suppressor at the range or putting rounds on steel past 400 yards with a semi-automatic platform.

The barrel is a Criterion Hybrid, a profile that blends a heavier contour at the chamber end for stiffness and heat management with a lighter taper toward the muzzle to keep the weight honest. The rifle-length gas system feeds that 16-inch barrel: compared to a mid-length or carbine setup, rifle-length dwell time spreads the pressure impulse over a longer cycle, which softens the rearward push and puts less stress on the bolt carrier at each shot. That matters more in a .308 platform than in a 5.56 build, where the operating pressures are substantially higher and bolt carrier longevity is a real consideration.

Ambidextrous controls throughout — charging handle, safety, and bolt release — mean left-handed shooters get a fully functional interface rather than an adapted one. The 15-inch M-LOK handguard gives enough rail real estate for a bipod, light, and pressure switch without crowding, and the Magpul SL stock keeps the overall package trim. The HUXWRX flash hider at the muzzle also serves as a suppressor mount for shooters running that path. The anodized finish on the upper and lower is American Defense Mfg.’s standard, not a coating applied over raw aluminum.
