Description
The LE6920MPS-B is Colt’s ready-to-run M4 carbine for shooters who want a professional-grade platform without spending time or money building one from components. It draws directly on the same design Colt supplies to military and law enforcement, which means the tolerances, materials, and gas system geometry are proven under sustained use rather than optimized for marketing photos.
The barrel is machined from 4150 chrome-moly vanadium steel with a chrome-lined bore. Chrome lining extends service life under heat and resists corrosion from humidity and residue, making it a practical choice for a rifle that sees regular range work. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes heavier projectiles — bullets in the 62- to 77-grain range that shorter twists handle poorly — without meaningfully degrading performance with lighter 55-grain ammunition, so you are not locked into a single load.
Colt paired the rifle with a complete suite of Magpul MOE SL furniture: SL handguards, SL carbine stock, SL pistol grip, and MOE vertical grip. The SL stock is slimmer in profile than the standard MOE stock and sits closer to the receiver, which tends to suit shooters wearing body armor or shooting in confined positions. The Magpul MBUS flip sight rides the top rail and folds flat when a primary optic is mounted, adding a credible backup option without adding permanent height to the sight line.
Receivers are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in black hardcoat anodize. The rifle ships with one 30-round magazine and is chambered to accept both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition.
