Description
The AnechoX Direct Thread Adapter Wrench is a dedicated installation and removal tool for the Direct Thread Adapter used across AnechoX suppressors, including the AnechoX 22. If you run a DTA-mount AnechoX can, this is the purpose-built solution for seating and breaking loose that adapter without improvising with tools that risk marring the fitting or rounding the spanner holes.
Anechoic built this as an adjustable hinged pin spanner, which means the pins engage the dedicated holes in the DTA rather than gripping external flats. That design choice matters because it transfers torque directly into the adapter at the engineered contact points, reducing the leverage needed and keeping force off the suppressor body or host threads. A generic spanner or strap wrench has nowhere precise to bite on a DTA; this tool does not have that problem.
Construction is chrome-plated high-strength steel with tool steel pins. The chrome plating gives the body corrosion resistance through range sessions and cleaning solvent exposure, while the tool steel pins hold up to the torque needed to break a DTA loose that has seen heat cycles from firing. The adjustable hinge lets it fit the DTA geometry without requiring a separate fixed-size spanner for each suppressor variant in the AnechoX line.
This is a single-purpose accessory that earns its place in a suppressor owner’s kit by doing one job correctly. If your AnechoX system uses direct thread mounts, having the right tool on hand before you need it — rather than after a DTA has seized from carbon fouling — is straightforward preventive maintenance practice.
