Description

The Arisaka Defense 18350 Series Light Body is a replacement tube designed for shooters running SureFire Scout-style weapon lights who want to trim length and weight from their setup without abandoning the components they already own. It accepts an 18350 cell in place of the standard 18650, which shortens the overall light assembly by more than an inch — a meaningful reduction on a rifle where balance and handguard clearance are already tight considerations.

The body is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize. That anodize process builds a dense oxide layer into the aluminum surface rather than sitting on top of it, which resists wear and corrosion without adding appreciable thickness. The result is a matte black finish that holds up under the kind of contact a weapon-mounted light sees in regular use.

One deliberate omission defines how this body mounts: it lacks the interface for the stock Picatinny clamp found on the factory M600DF body. That absence is the point. When used with the Arisaka Inline Scout Mount on a handguard with a 45-degree rail surface near the top Picatinny rail, removing that clamp interface opens up significantly more clearance for a front sight. The body still carries the standard Scout mounting hole pattern and square lug on the underside, so it drops into any aftermarket Scout mount without modification. It is compatible with light heads from SureFire, Modlite, and Malkoff, and with tailcaps from SureFire and Arisaka. Buna-N O-rings in sizes #19 and #15 are included. The light head, tailcap, and mounting screws are not. Manufactured in the USA.
